Privacy Policy

This website, eltarascomexicanrestaurants.com, is owned and operated by El Tarasco Mexican Restaurants, 13039 Glenoaks Blvd, Sylmar, CA 91342 (“we,” “us,” “our”). This policy explains what the site collects, why, and who handles it for us.
1. What we collect
- Updates signup: your name, email address and favorite location.
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), location, the topic you pick, your message, and whether you asked for specials and updates.
- With each form submission we also store your approximate country, your browser type, and a one-way hashed version of your IP address, which we use to stop spam. We never store your raw IP address.
If you sign up for updates, or check the updates box on the contact form, your name, email address and favorite location join our updates list. We do not collect anything else from you directly.
2. What happens automatically when you visit
Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes standard connection data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the pages. It may also ask your browser to report network errors (Network Error Logging); those reports carry no personal details.
Our fonts, photos and videos are served from our own site. We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, social media trackers, or embedded videos or maps from other companies.
3. Cookies and your device
The public site sets no cookies. If you close our data-use notice, your browser's local storage remembers that choice. Nothing else is stored on your device. Restaurant staff who sign in to our events page get one sign-in cookie; visitors never do.
4. How we use it
- To answer your message.
- To email you news, specials and events, only if you asked for them. We do not send marketing text messages.
- To block spam and abuse.
- To comply with the law.
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
5. Who handles it for us
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores form submissions and our updates list.
- Resend delivers form notifications by email.
- Our web team, which builds and runs this site for us, receives contact messages by email and passes them to the restaurant.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it. Links to Clover and Grubhub (online ordering), Eventbrite (event tickets), Google Maps, Instagram and TikTok take you to those companies' own sites, and their privacy policies apply there.
6. How long we keep it
We keep contact messages and the updates list until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them. If you unsubscribe, we keep your entry marked as unsubscribed, with the date, so that we do not email you again; ask us and we will delete it. Spam-protection counters expire after one hour.
7. Your choices
To leave the updates list, use our unsubscribe page at any time. Every update email we send will also include a link to unsubscribe. Email privacy@eltarascomexicanrestaurants.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to have us take you off the list. We will not treat you differently for asking.
8. Do Not Track
We do not track visitors across sites, so we do not change anything in response to a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
9. Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
10. Security
Everything you submit travels over HTTPS and is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure, with access limited to the people who run the site and the restaurant. No system is perfectly secure.
11. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
